Q: What is the new Rewards Program?
A: Starting July 20, 2021, our credit card and Rewards
programs will combine to become one program. Athleta and Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Cardmembers will now be a
part of Athleta Rewards.
You’ll be able to shop across all four of our brands and enjoy the benefits of your One Membership. Whether you joined Gap Good Rewards, Banana Republic Rewards, Navyist Rewards, or Athleta Rewards, your membership will travel with you.
Q: When do changes to the new membership take effect?

Q: What are the new membership levels?
A: Levels are open to all members and are based on your
annual spend (or, if you are a Cardmember, it may also be based on points earned, whichever comes first).
There are 3 levels:
Core = <$500 annual brand spend.
Enthusiast = Cardmembers start at Enthusiast level and Members reach this level with a $500-$999 annual spend at Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, Gap Factory and/or Banana Republic Factory. Icon = 5,000 points as a Cardmember or $1,000+ annual brand spend for Members and Cardmembers. Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Cardmembers start at Icon level.
Points and Rewards
Q: How many points do I need to earn a reward?
A: 100 points = $1 reward.
Q: How do I earn points?
A: When you shop in-store, you’ll earn points when you
provide the phone number registered to your membership at checkout. For online purchases at athleta.com,
bananarepublic.com, bananarepublicfactory.com, gap.com, gapfactory.com, and oldnavy.com, you’ll earn points
if you are logged in with your email address.
Cardmembers will earn points on in-store and online purchases made with your Gap Inc. Credit Card.
Q: How many points do I earn for each dollar spent?
A: Cardmembers earn 5 points per $1 dollar spent with your
Gap Inc. Credit Card at our family of brands.
Members earn 1 point per $1 dollar spent.
Gap Inc. Visa® Cardmembers earn 1 point for every $1 dollar spent outside of our brands, and Gap Inc. Visa Signature®
Cardmembers earn 2 points for every $1 dollar spent outside of our brands.
Q: How long does it take for points to post to my account?
A: Points will be posted to your account within one day from the date of purchase. Points are initially earned in a pending status. After 14 days, earned points become active.
Q: Do my points expire?
A: Points will not expire if you make at least one purchase every 12 months. Points expire after 12 months if you do not make any purchase in the 12 months after earning them. Points have no monetary value.
Q: How do I redeem my rewards?
A: Starting July 20, 2021, we’ll no longer be using rewards certificates. You’ll simply use your phone number and email address to redeem rewards on purchases at our family of brands.
Q: Can I still redeem my rewards certificates?
A: Yes, your rewards certificates will still be valid through the reward’s stated expiration date.
Q: Will I still get rewards mailed to me in my credit card statement?
A: No. Points are available on demand and redeemable in 100-point increments. 100 points = $1 reward. You’re able to choose the amount of rewards you’d like to redeem.
Q: How do I access my rewards?
A: To redeem rewards on in-store purchases, you’ll provide the phone number registered to your membership at checkout. For online purchases, you’ll log in using your email address.
Q: Who do I contact if I need help?
A: You can contact the Call Center at 1-877-328-4538.
Q: I have authorized users on my credit card account. Will they earn points when they use their credit card?
A: Yes, purchases made by authorized users will continue to earn points and will be deposited to your rewards account.
Q: Can I convert my current rewards certificates back into points?
A: No, but your rewards certificates will be valid through the expiration date.
Q: How do I know how many points I have?
A: Simply log in to your Gap Inc. account to view your points and rewards information.
Q: How do I donate my rewards?
A: You can donate rewards to select organizations in the Earn & Redeem tab in your account.
Q: If I have multiple Gap Inc. Credit Cards, will my points be combined?
A: Yes, the new Rewards Program accumulates points from
any of your Gap Inc. Credit Card accounts as long as your email address and phone number are the same for

Q: I joined the Rewards Program at another brand, can I still use my benefits at Athleta?
A: Yes, your level and benefits travel with you to any of our brands no matter where you enrolled.
Q: How do I get free shipping
A: Cardmembers and Members will receive free shipping with
a purchase of $50 or more. Icon level Cardmembers and Members will receive free 2-3 day shipping, while Core
and Enthusiast level Cardmembers and Members will receive free 3-5 day shipping.
Sign into your online account at checkout. Free shipping will be applied at checkout, no code needed.
Q: Where do I view my benefits?
A: Details about your benefits, including the Family of Brands Bonus, Quarterly Bonus, Birthday Bonus and Create Your Own Sale Day, can be found in your account.
Q: How do I get free basic alterations at Banana Republic stores?
A: To use this benefit, bring your Banana Republic item and proof of Icon level to a local Banana Republic store. Basic alterations include shortening hems on pants, skirts and dresses. Call your local store for additional details and a complete list of alterations included.
Q: How do I sign up for a free trial subscription from obé Fitness?
A: Rewards Members will get the obé Fitness trial if you’re a Gap Inc. Rewards Program member and you’ve made a purchase at Athleta in the last 12 months AND are either Enthusiast level (you’ll receive a 2-month free trial) or Icon level (you’ll receive a 3-month free trial). Once you’ve met the above requirements, the trial will be delivered to you via an email that will have a promo code for obé Fitness and you’ll be directed to the obé Fitness site to sign u
Q: Will I still be able to use my Gap Inc. Credit Card across Gap Inc. brands?
A: Yes, you can still use your GapCard, Gap Silver Card, Banana Republic Card, Banana Republic Luxe Card, Old Navy Card, Old Navy Navyist Card, Athleta Card and Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Card at Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, Gap Factory, Banana Republic Factory, and Old Navy Outlet.
Q: I’m a Navyist/Luxe/Silver/Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Cardmember – do I keep my status in the new program?
A: Yes, you’ll keep an exclusive status, but starting July 20, 2021, the new program will have membership levels with new names. Current Silver, Luxe, Navyist or Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Cardmembers will become Icon Cardmembers. Your annual qualification will continue to be based on your purchase activity. Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Cardmembers will continue to stay at Icon level.
Q: Do I keep my Luxe for Life status in the new program?
A: Yes, you’ll keep your lifetime status in the new program. This level will now be referred to as Icon.
Q: Will I keep my previous Silver, Luxe, Navyist or Gap Inc. Visa Signature® Cardmember benefits?
A: Your Create Your Own Sale Day benefit will stay the same. As an Icon Rewards Member, you will continue to receive free basic alterations on your Banana Republic purchases, and you’ll now get free 2-3 day shipping with a purchase of $50 or more.
Q: How do I activate my credit card?
A: Gap Inc. Credit Cards are issued by Synchrony Bank. You can activate your card with Synchrony Bank online or 855-327-4359, or 855-327-4358 if you’re an Icon Cardmember.
Q: Where can I get information about my account?
A: Gap Inc. Credit Cards are serviced by Synchrony Bank. To find information about your account, you can create an online Synchrony account or by calling 855-327-4359, or 855-327-4358 if you’re an Icon Cardmember.
Q: What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
A: Cardmembers may report lost or stolen Gap Inc. Credit Cards 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling Synchrony Cardmember Customer Service at 855-327-4359, or 855-327-4358 if you’re an Icon Cardmember. Please review your account for any purchases you did not make and report them to the customer service department when you call. Synchrony Bank will close your account and issue you a new account number and card for your protection.
Q: Can I purchase a gift card online with my Gap Inc. Credit Card?
A: Yes, gift cards are available for purchase online with both Gap Inc. Credit Cards and Gap Inc. Visa® Credit Cards.
Q: How do I pay my credit card bill?
A: You can make a payment by mail, over the phone, or online. Unfortunately, stores cannot accept Gap Inc. Credit Card payments or provide envelopes for mailing payment.
Q: Can I pay my credit card bill in-store?
A: Unfortunately, stores cannot accept Gap Inc. Credit Card payments or provide return address envelopes. There are various ways you can make a payment: by mail, over the phone, or online. When paying by phone, it's free to pay through the automated system; however, there may be a fee to pay with a live agent.
Q: Where can I manage my credit card account online?
A: To get information on your account including payments made, outstanding bills, and more, you can create an online Synchrony account.
Q: Can I use rewards to pay my credit card bill?
A: Rewards cannot be used to make payments toward your account. Rewards can only be used toward purchases of merchandise made in-store or online at Old Navy, Old Navy Outlet, Gap, Gap Factory store, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory store, or Athleta in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico).
Q: How do I add an authorized user to my credit card account?
A: An authorized user is a person who has been approved by the primary Cardmember to use the same Gap Inc. Credit Card account. There are a few ways to make an authorized user request, including by phone or online. Synchrony Customer Service will mail individual cards to the primary Cardmember with the authorized user’s name on the front of the card. Note that minors may be authorized users. However, authorized users are not joint applicants and are not financially responsible for account activity. The primary Cardmember’s monthly billing statement will include any activity made by authorized users. Purchases by primary Cardmember and authorized users are not separated on the billing statement.
Q: How can I request a credit limit increase?
A: You can request a credit limit increase from Synchrony Bank through your online account or by calling 855-327-4359, or 855-327-4358 if you’re an Icon Cardmember.
