Athleta suits are really high quality which we love! This top is thick and great material, the only issue is there is only elastic for the shelf bra in the front of the suit - it doesn't go all the way around. So the "shelf bra" slides around and could slide up as well. It isn't too much of an issue... for my 9 year old, but anyone looking for more support should be aware. It does have cups, but because of it's construction fits more like a t-shirt with floating cups then a sports bra like top.
The built in bra (which we so appreciate - we come to Athleta Girl for our three teen/tween girls because they are one of the only brands offering cup liners in a girls size 10/12) creates a lumpy bumpy line across suit, even when everything is lying nice and flat. We had the same issue on both gir...ls, and in all three colors we ordered. We could not figure out how to solve it, so sent all three tops we ordered back. Thankfully the one pieces we ordered were the quality we are used to with Athleta. The colors and cut on these tops were fantastic. Just wish the quality was there, too!

I bought this top for my 11 year old who has started wearing a bra and needs some padding up top, so I was really excited to see that the larger sizes of this top included that. The size 12 fit her well, but I thought that it would be a little longer in the torso. When she was playing in the pool it was completely above her stomach and wouldn't stretch down as far as it does in the online photo. Every body is shaped different, but I just wish it was a little longer.
