I'm 5'3", 130 lbs., slightly thicker between the waist and knees. I bought these in a size medium, and they are awesome--soft, comfortable, and don't roll. I wore them for miles of walking, as well as a reformer pilates class; they stayed in place without constricting. I liked them so much, I bought two pairs.

I purchase the Transcend high rise short. It's a good length and I am happy they fit well. This was the first time I have purchased from Athleta. I was very excited to receive my purchase so I decided to pay extra for shipping. (3-5 day one). So everything seemed to be on its way, I got a text saying I should expect it the next day. Unfortunately it did not arrive so I started to track it and after a few days I noticed the tracking came to a stop. It continued that way for several days and I was going to contact you but then I finally got a notification that it was to arrive that day. Which it did. It took almost 2 weeks to receive my package. It would have been nice to know why it was so late especially since I paid for faster shipping.

This is my 4th pair of these shorts. I've been wearing them for years. Perfect length for me and they are soft and comfortable. One observation. This "newer" version is cut smaller. In Athleta clothing, I am a consistent medium. I bought a large in these shorts.
