Latest pair not as soft and stretchy as previous pairs

My granddaughter loved the XS chitchat shorts she received in June 2023. The S pair I ordered in August are noticeably less stretchy. perfect for cheer, volleyball, and school. they don't ride up, they are soft and comfy and quality materials. We only own two pair because of the price, but they both have been worn hundreds of time and look brand new. Sz medium, 8 yr old daughter, 52lbs.

My middle school aged daughter (11yrs) absolutely loves these shorts! The fit is perfect, and they are an appropriate length. They wash well and the fabric is really nice to the touch.
