I'll start by saying... I can usually size down in everything Athleta. Leggings I typically wear an XS or S but consistently wear an XXS or XS in Athleta. Tanks I almost always wear a M (sometimes even a L to accommodate my broad gymnast shoulders) but almost always size down to a S in Athleta (minu...s the Elation Crop, where I wear my true size M). I wear a size 34D bra, but based on reviews, decided to give size M A-C a shot, and so glad I did! The cups are snug but supportive without being overly so, and the straps accommodate my wide lats just fine. I definitely would not have been able to wear a size down in this bra as it would have pulled too much in the straps and probably cut off in the cups. I love the style of this one, simple but elegant with the one criss-crossed strap. I think I will get a lot of use out of this one running, weightlifting, and climbing!
I had great hopes for this sports bra. It is cute and soft and the sizing was right. My only problem is that the breast pads, the pads that go over your breast so that I guess your nipples don't show. (I can't honestly understand why they even put these in the bra.) are not in and they shift around ...another person complained about them, but as usual all of the one star reviews get put at the very end so no one goes that far. This wasn't the only problem that people had with this bra, but that was the only one I had. It was sized correctly. I got an extra large. I'm 54 and 150 pounds I wear 34 DDD and hoped that this would fit and otherwise it would have. So very disappointing. I'm glad I bought it on sale but my money money is wasted. I can't return it because because I took the tag off immediately looking at it thinking that's cute. It's gonna fit perfectly and having no idea that much. Why don't they sell these if they feel that they are necessary? I'd rather have the bra, not look as cute and be more functional personally most of us with that size chest and body aren't going to wear it without it. I would just say Mayer beware it does make a difference. You can't get the pads to go to the right place and I'm not talented enough to rip the bra open so down the pads and sew it back up. I hope you are if you bought it.

I wear this bra to the gym for weightlifting, it's very comfortable. I haven't tried running in it, but it's very comfortable for the few light hikes and walks I've done. Knocked one star off because the differing strap styles make the front top line of the bust part uneven so I occasionally fill the need to tug at the straps between lifts, but it's not noticeable otherwise and doesn't cause breasts to look uneven. Despite this, I love the look of the two straps, very cute. It runs smaller than the interval bra, I had to size up to a large. I'm a 32B, 5'1, 125lbs, proportioned athletic build.

This is my 5th color of this style! I literally wear it everyday for every kind of active pursuit- yoga, lifting, walking, running. And very comfortable. I am a 32DD in a regular bra and the XS DD works well for me, I could also wear the S DD but prefer a tighter more supportive fit
