I had a similar wrap style from 6-8 years ago in the stretchy sweatshirt fabric and wear a small. This new transcend wrap top is in a compression type fabric which is cool to the touch. A small was much too small across the chest and I tried a medium and it was the same so it didn't work for me.

Was so excited to receive this and really wanted to love it. I love the wrap top idea. I sized up to a M per others' reviews and even with the size up, the fit was still very awkward. Unfortunately, I returned the top...

I love the style of this top but not for women with large chests. No coverage for breasts, this is meant for flat chested women.

By reading the other comments it's clear people are not understanding this is not a top to be worn alone. It is a cover top, to be taken off when you get too warm. The string wraps around your waist completely- going around the back. It is a ballet inspired piece. It's super cute. I normally get L and got a M and it fits snug- the way it should. It's been sold out for a reason!

I thought this top was super cute and would be perfect for ballet class, so I ordered it in both pink and black. I was disappointed to find that it was so small it wouldn't cross over my bust properly. I'm a 34D and usually order a small in Athleta tops, but this was clearly designed for people with no boobs. I had to return them. Very disappointed.

This is great when you want more coverage and warmth to go from the house to gym or gym to coffee, errands, etc : )) Easy to put on and thin enough to toss in your gym bag.

In the pictures on the models the top goes further up on the chest. Did not experience this when I tried it on

It is a cropped/belly shirt and does not fully cover the chest which is why the models are all shown with something underneath. I do believe it is accurately depicted in the photos. That is the style so if it's not what you prefer, DO NOT BUY. When I tried on a small (my usual size in shirts) I do agree with other reviews that it fit weird with some areas sagging off the chest, but when I went XS I noticed it fit much better and did not have an issue with this nearly as much. In the XS I think it looks adorable with a cute sports bra underneath!

It's probably the most disliked piece I've ever purchased from Athleta, the front doesn't cover anything, the string is away to long, I must return. I wouldn't recommend to anyone with a C cups or larger.

I got a small as I am 5'5" and 115 lbs - arms tight and material was scant across chest and very short on torso - so disappointed!!
