I want to start by saying that I have been buying, wearing, and loving Athleta clothing since they first opened a store in Sonoma County, California almost 15 years ago. I'm 6'1" and a size 12–14 with a large frame and the Athleta brand has been a gift to me. From travel pants to clothes for swimmi...ng, Pilates and Rowing, I live in and love the brand. I did read the reviews for these pants and understood that they run large, but I ordered a large tall and they fit like 3XL!!! They were so huge and so long that I washed them in hot water (I NEVER USE HOT WATER) then I dried them on high heat, and they were still monstrously huge. I was leaving on a tropical vacation so I ordered both white and black, and of course, I'm now stuck with both of them because of the final sale no return policy. Clearly, the sizing on these pants is an egregious ERROR. This is not a case of something running a little large. Before Gap purchased Athleta, the Athleta team would have taken care of customers who experienced this kind of dissatisfaction about a very serious sizing error. Now, not so much. Come on Athleta! You have some really loyal customers and we are savvy about your clothing and your sizing. You made a mistake with this one, and you should stand behind what you sell. Whatever you do, do not buy these pants. I'm not sure if my correct sizing on them would have been a small or a medium, and I haven't needed these sizes since I was 10 years old. I should have believed the reviews and saved my money.
