I'm 5'7, 120 lbs. I bought this in small. I think it runs a tiny bit big but still looks beautiful on. The black is not see through. 34A/B and don't need a bra. Wore it today and got stopped FOUR times. I bought the black plisse skirt in a medium. Love both.

I should have looked more closely at the stitching. I got this dress in black and I love it but after washing all the beautiful pleating is gone and its just an over-priced black sheet.

The cream is completely see theough as others have noted and there are no bra insert pads like the description says. It also came with a black stain despite being brand new. Big sad fail all around, bummed because it had potential to be a beautiful dress.

Bought my usual size (normally 5'6" 120) and this fits great for late summer third trimester. Normally small chested and that hasn't changed. I do wish there were slits for cups. Bought in black bc I was worried about the white being see-thru.

It really is featherweight - light and flowy. Petites, it will come to your ankles - no idea why Athleta didn't seem to give, or even know, the length of the regular or the petite - even customer service didn't know and didn't seem to think it was a reasonable question. Also why no XXS in petite, where your most likely to have women looking for a small size? 5 star dress, 1 star for Athleta HQ.

This dress is beautiful. It drapes perfectly and is great quality. I bought a tall because I wanted it to be longer. Can be dressed up or down. I bought it to wear to a wedding in September. It's that good. Fabric is not cheap looking at all.

I bought this dress in black and it is so chic and true to size/may run slightly large - im typically a medium or large in Athleta dresses and needed the medium in this one. I wish the built in shelf bra had padding or at a minumum a slit to insert pads! Why have a built in bra when you still have to wear one to cover the nipples?! I also loved the cream color in this dress, but it is completely see-through, so a slip would be required - why not make this one double-layered?

The shape of this dress interested me and it could have a lot of potential but it's cheaply made. The top of the dress needs better construction. I'm a 32D and ordered an XS. It fit horribly on top with thin material and a too thin razorback. I have a lot of Athlete items and quality has never been an issue in the past. This is too expensive for what it is.

According to the product description, the top of the dress is supposed to be fitted. I ordered my usual top size (PL) and the dress is huge on the top half. The self bra is also too large and loose so gives no support. Would have loved to try on the PM but size is now sold out. The fabric and trims seem to of the usual (good) Athleta quality. I ordered the black one, so no issue with transparency. But it's sadly going back, had such high hopes for this one.

I ordered this dress to wear on a cruise. We are taking for my birthday. It is definitely lightweight and it is definitely a tad sheer as the other reviewer mentioned. I plan to wear nude underwear and pasties underneath it. It's also a bit much for what it is. Should I keep it probably not I should probably return it and re-purchase it when it's on sale. But I'll probably keep this one as the cruise is the first week of September. And if it goes on sale within the next 30 days in the return window, I will make the exchange then. Appropriate price probably would be around $69. I was able to use a discount so I did not pay full price, but I still paid more than what I should consider considering what it is. For sizing reference I purchased a small and it is generous on top and I am a 34DD. That being said, I think an extra small could have been too snug around the armpits, but I may even try that. i am 144# and 5-6". I was worried about it being a little bit too shapeless.
