I have three pairs of Athleta's Midtown Ankle Pant, which I love, but I bought those in a 16 and have lost weight since, and now they are really too loose on me (currently 5'6", ~160-165 lbs, usually a 12-14 in pants depending on brand). Plus, I never liked the drawstring at the waist on those pants...
Versus
I love these pants but they started pilling after I had them for 2 weeks. I have had them for a month now and it has gotten worse. It's disappointing because they are such a great pant and i would give them 5 stars if it weren't for the pilling.

Bought these for tropical, humid, hot-weather travel and was looking for something lightweight, packable, and comfortable for long sightseeing days. The fabric is very soft, thin, and breathable. They feel cool against the skin and I think would be great for hot climates. They also came out of the package with very few wrinkles and seem like they would travel well. What surprised me was the silhouette. The fabric is more flowy and less structured than I wanted. The thinness allows the pocket outlines to show and the gathered elastic at the back waistband created more volume/wrinkle than the smoothness I personally prefer. The side seam detail also gave the pants a slightly more athletic look than I was looking for.
