I have three pairs of Athleta's Midtown Ankle Pant, which I love, but I bought those in a 16 and have lost weight since, and now they are really too loose on me (currently 5'6", ~160-165 lbs, usually a 12-14 in pants depending on brand). Plus, I never liked the drawstring at the waist on those pants...
Versus
I love these pants but they started pilling after I had them for 2 weeks. I have had them for a month now and it has gotten worse. It's disappointing because they are such a great pant and i would give them 5 stars if it weren't for the pilling.

Best pants for any use. I wear them to work but can also wear them casually. They are a light material and will be great through the summer. Very comfortable too, don't stretch out or get baggy at all after wearing all day, sitting, standing, walking etc.

Got in petite but found length a tad on short side, would be nice if length was slightly longer. Only got petite because I knew they would fit the length of my legs better than the regular size. Otherwise; comfy, breezy pants that can be dressed up or down.

I ordered sizes 2 and 4. The 2 fits better, but the waist area is tight. Even the 2 bags out at the upper thighs. I've never particularly liked the Brooklyn, yet Athleta keeps pushing it without adding anything new that's made from this lightweight, non-wrinkle material. (I don't count the Pinnacle, which is way too voluminous for a short size 2-4 person.) The blue-gray color is a decent neutral. The beige color, which looks good online, turns out to be an off-white that reminds me of the walls of some institution where you're stuck, bored, for hours.
