These are a great staple compressive short! The look is sleek, the inseam is a perfect length, and the reflective details are a nice touch. I ordered my usual XS (5'1" and 115lbs) and then got a small just in case. The XS was too tight on the waist, so I would size up from your usual size. The botto...m of the legs have grippers on the inside to keep the shorts in place. The back pocket does fit an iPhone and can still zip all the way closed.

I didn't read closely enough and got tricked by the photo of the side seam, there are no drop pockets. The back pocket would be ok for just a phone, but if you rely on drop pockets for lots of things, these won't work for you. Even when I wear a vest, I still like to put easy to access things in the...m. If no-pocket shorties are your thing, these are for you. Fabric and leg grips are nice, they stretch a ton but maybe run small. I wear a S in the Ace Skort but fit a M in these. I'll be sticking to my janji shorts for now, until Athleta decides to make a version with pockets.

these are great for under skirts. 5" is even better for my body, but 4" with the grip at the hem of the shorts is enough to keep the chub rub away. the band doesn't roll down either. true to size. #sweepstakes

These shorts are way too small. I am normally size Small, I bave 2 pants from Athleta that are marked XS and fit comfortably. Got these shorts in S and M. wasn't evsb able to squeeze myself into a small and medium is way too tight. Glad I could return them

These are great workout shorts. I usually wear a size 6/medium. The shorts went on last chance sale so I purchased a medium. They were uncomfortably tight. Thinking that even a large would not be big enough, I ordered an XL. They were huge. Still on last chance sale, I ordered the large and they are just right. Just call me Goldilocks.
