This jacket is literally everything I hoped it would be and more. I was debating between this and a few other brands, but I am so glad I went with this one. It's incredibly soft, comfortable, and just feels really well made. I usually gravitate toward longer athletic jackets, but I've been wanting ...to try a cropped style and this one absolutely delivers. It's flattering without feeling too short, and it works perfectly for workouts or just throwing on over a set. I'm 5'3" and ordered the petite. I'm not completely sure how the regular length compares since I didn't try it in store, but the petite still works well for me. I bought it online without trying it on first and have zero regrets. Honestly one of my favorite purchases lately.
WOW! Athleta does.not.care about the quality of the clothes getting sent out. I ordered two different sizes in the breaker blue jacket. One smelled like smoke and had stains on the inside, and the other has a couple of areas of brown stains ON THE FRONT. Sale items aren't bargain basement, are they...? Or are they, and customers are expected to deal with smoke smell and visible stains in oder to get sale items? My local used clothing store takes more pride in the condition of the clothes that they sell, than Athleta does. I've been buying Athleta for years, but this is the last straw. One item, sure, and that has happened here or there, with an arm pit stain. But two jackets in one shipment? Too many.

I love this color and wanted this jacket to match skort and Brooklyn joggers. The jacket runs very small and short cropped style - I wish was longer or regular length. I ordered XL tall - biggest size it came and went for tall to get an extra 1" in length. The fabric is butter soft feeling. The color is bright bold confident looking. I gave it 3 stars due to small sizing and length

The style is cute BUT 1) the fit is off for some body shapes (mine). It fits perfectly in the shoulders/bust, but is huge around the midsection. So its really designed for figures that are more even size shoulders down to waist. Doesnt really work if you're more curvy with a smaller waist, unless you size down - I didnt do that because I dont like the super tight look. I would say they run small, except they are big in mid section if you have broader shoulders or are busty but also smaller waisted. 2) Colour is off! This was the biggest disappointment for me, I ordered the colour gossamer to match the Rainier gossamer leggings - the jacket is a different colour! Gah. Everything else in colour gossamer is almost like the palest lavender, but the salutation crop jacket in gossamer is more like a baby blue. I would have returned this item if I hadn't bought it final sale.
