For reference I am 5' 2", 120 lbs & my girls are DD's .. I sized down to an XS and I should have gone with an XXS Petite! Now they are sold out :( & most likely I will I will be having the tails altered as I do quite frequently. If not, the tail goes clear down to my mid thighs, no thx! Plan to r...emove approx. 6"! It will look original & fit much more flattering not to mention I will still have enough of the shirt tail left to cover my bums with leggings. The overall fit is a very relaxed loose fit with a few inches in the sleeves to spare that I can cuff up, the arm length runs very generous. Very flexible piece as one can wear it for work, play or as a bathing suit coverup. I prefer to use it with leggings and a sports bra as the textile feels and looks very sporty. I NORMALLY WEAR A MEDUIM AS I PREFER LOOSE FIT- THIS SHIRT RUNS HUGE!!
I got my typical size medium and I should have sized down… it was soooo relaxed in the front it looked like a maternity shirt. I've been disappointed with Athleta's button down shirts in general, but I really wanted to like this. Loved the garnet color, but just not for me.

Ugh, this hurts. I love Athleta, most of my favorite clothes are Athleta. I bought this shirt and one from a large retailer for about 20% of the cost. My husband said he could fit in this shirt (size medium). The other one is form fitting, flattering, and has nice material. White shirts don't last forever, and I just couldn't justify the price of this one, plus it just looked terrible on me.

I purchased both the XS and XXS to compare. I ended up keeping the XXS because it fits best and works well on its own or layered over a tank. The XS just felt like too much fabric. With the XXS I can close all the buttons without any pulling. For reference, I'm 127 lbs, petite, a true 34B, and on the thinner side. In Athleta bottoms, I usually wear a 0P or XS
