For reference I am 5' 2", 120 lbs & my girls are DD's .. I sized down to an XS and I should have gone with an XXS Petite! Now they are sold out :( & most likely I will I will be having the tails altered as I do quite frequently. If not, the tail goes clear down to my mid thighs, no thx! Plan to r...emove approx. 6"! It will look original & fit much more flattering not to mention I will still have enough of the shirt tail left to cover my bums with leggings. The overall fit is a very relaxed loose fit with a few inches in the sleeves to spare that I can cuff up, the arm length runs very generous. Very flexible piece as one can wear it for work, play or as a bathing suit coverup. I prefer to use it with leggings and a sports bra as the textile feels and looks very sporty. I NORMALLY WEAR A MEDUIM AS I PREFER LOOSE FIT- THIS SHIRT RUNS HUGE!!
I got my typical size medium and I should have sized down… it was soooo relaxed in the front it looked like a maternity shirt. I've been disappointed with Athleta's button down shirts in general, but I really wanted to like this. Loved the garnet color, but just not for me.

I traveled in this shirt and even after a nine hour flight I still felt reasonably polished and unrumpled. (It also dries quickly and isn't super wrinkled if you wash it in a sink and hang to dry.) I wore it over a black tank with Athleta 7/8 black leggings and white sneakers. I'm 5'7, 160, the medium fits perfectly and comes down over my bum. I think other reviews said this runs large, so I ordered the medium (normally I would order large for an oversize fit) and medium was perfectly oversized. I hope Athleta keeps making this shirt. I'd love it in a chambray blue.
