Wow. Okay, I reaalllllyy hesitated before spending this much on a legging from a Gap brand (sorry lol). I've never bought Athleta before, as I'm more of an outdoor girly than a yoga one, but after getting annoyed with the slick, thick feeling of leggings from brands like Arcteryx and Fjallraven, I d...ecided to try these ones, and oh my god, I am thrilled. These leggings are comfortable straight out of the store. They are long! Compressive, but still really comfortable and don't feel too restrictive or claustraphobic. They fit like a dream. I already did yoga in them and loved it. The flares are a little big, and I am 5'9 and they are a teeensy bit long on me (I have a pretty proportioned torso and leg ratio), so those are minor things, but honestly! The two pockets and the comfortable, stable hold on the waist make up for everything.
The waist and legs fit normal, but I am so confused about the length sizing for all the flare pants I have bought from Athleta. I am 5'8, which is not all that tall, but apparently too tall for 'regular' flare pants. 'Regular' length pants are far too short - my mom would say I look like I'm waiting... for a flood. However, the 'tall' length pants are far, FAR too long. They cover my entire foot and would be easily ruined if I wore them as I would be stepping on them all the time. It seems like there is no good option for people who are just a bit above average, height-wise. I have been trying to find flared yoga pants and am having no success from any brand, due to the lengths always being weird. I will just stick to regular leggings, I guess - which, for reference, I can buy in the 'regular' length with no issue. Perhaps the 'regular' length flare pants should be a few inches longer than the skinny leggings, seeing as most people don't want their ankles to show when wearing flared pants.

The Best Yoga Pants I've Ever Owned! These Salutation Stash High Rise Flare Pants from Athleta are hands down the best yoga pants I've ever had — so much so that I now own two pairs in black and one in blue!
