Latest pair not as soft and stretchy as previous pairs

My granddaughter loved the XS chitchat shorts she received in June 2023. The S pair I ordered in August are noticeably less stretchy. I got these for my 7 year old daughter to wear to tumbling and they are so perfect! She is never pulling them up or down and doesn't say a word about them - which if you have a sensory sensitive kid you know is the best review possible! The 3" inseam is also nice because they aren't too short like some of the other brands out there.

Perfect short for volleyball and xc athlete at elementary age. Vball shorts at sport stores are too large or only women sizes. She is tiny and athletic at age 9 and wants to wear what the older girls wear in her sport. These fit great, no unnecessary pockets or stuff and classic colors. Thank you!!
