I tried these on in store because I love the ultra high rise elation tights. The ribbed fabric adds a little something to a plain black legging, and the slightly thicker material provides great compression. As a more blessed in the bum girl, they pass the squat test and lift everything well too! The...y might be a little thick for a heated yoga class, but I'll wear them regardless.
I am 200 lbs and 5'5". Pear shaped. I wear a size 18-20 in regular non-stretchy pants and have purchased 1X or 2X size leggings from Athleta before. Those fit snugly. I ordered these in a 1X and they are absolutely massive and gaping around my waist. I could fit another half of myself in them. Frank...ly it's silly this vanity sizing system as I haven't worn a L in anything in years. I ordered two other items (one a jacket in size Large which is also too big! I saw people said size down, so I did, how in the heck am I a size Medium) Ridiculous. I am glad they make clothing for women of all sizes but I don't need the sizing itself to make myself feel better?! Rant over.

Nit obsessed but perfectly adequate. Got them on sale and wouldn't pay full price. The texture is different, haven't worked out in them yet but they are TIGHT and true to size so definitely don't size down.
