It was really tough to find actual high-waisted rain pants. So many other claimed to be high-rise but were mid- to low-rise instead. These are lightweight with a true high rise. Fit comfortably over leggings or even jeans and are easy to get on and off. Only complaint is the stiffness of the fabric ...- they're a bit noisy and they feel a bit like a snow pant, but thinner. The leg is very wide - they flare a bit so they fit easily over boots but it's maybe a bit much? Overall comfortable and the best rain pant I've been able to find.
I'm so disappointed. The fit on the waist and hips were great. Also loved the material and that I would be able to layer a tights underneath. Ordered a large petite and the legs were so long! I'm 5'1" and proportional. The legs are about five inches too long and can't be shortened because of the sid...e zippers. There are bungees but because the leg is so voluminous, it looks odd when you try to shorten it with the bungee cords. I agree with another review looks like ski pants. I'd say runs big as I'm more like an XL P but ordered the L P which would have been great if the length was ok.

These pants were too big. I am usually a large in leggings, so I ordered a large, but these were huge! I should have listened to the other reviews. The sides of the pants open up and the leg is very wide. I will be returning.

Love these waterproof pants. Purchased for my trip to Alaska and they worked great. Lightweight and comfortable. Love the side zipper. Easy to wear by themselves or over leggings. They do run big so size down.

So far these are 5 star for the fit and comfort. I ordered for an upcoming trip to Iceland so haven't used them in the rain yet. I tried some other brands and the fits were terrible, so I was thrilled to find that Athleta had an option. I ordered my usual size (Large Petite, 180#, 5'1") and they seem TTS. These are what I was looking for - a full zip over-pant to wear to the gym (to/from my car to the front door) on cold or wet days. I hate having to take off my shoes to remove my pants before a workout. They do run very large. I sized down and the pants are still cut very generous. The legs are cut very, very full. Somewhat clownish. On a plus, they are actually long enough for a tall, leggy gal! As others have stated, they are noisy/plastic sounding. The leg is super wide at the bottom, which I do not like, and the drawstring to tighten them does not work at all - hence one star off. I'll keep them because of the hassle to return and b/c they are long enough and do have the full outer zipper that I have been looking for. While not perfect, they are definitely good enough.

These pants are a little stiff and noisy but they really do the job! Great high waist and loose fit so they work well with layers beneath. Full side zip makes it easy to put on and take off without removing your boots.
