Great lightweight fabric for travel packing... it is very oversized, but that makes for comfortable layering. The XS was a good fit for me, and normally wear XS to S (sometimes in petite) in Athleta. I am hoping that there is truly some light rain protection, but would have loved a hood of some kind for that very reason, therefore 4 stars!

The color and length were great. When the coat was open, it looked fine. But, as soon as you snapped it up (double breasted style) it was shapeless and frumpy. My husband (who usually never had an opinion) told me it looked like a lab coat. Cinching in the waist only made the back flap stick out more. If you notice, there are no photos full length of the coat closed - there is a reason. I really wanted to like this coat, but I returned it because it just didn't look good when it was closed - and I need to have a coat that I can wear closed. :(

Tried my best based on reviews and my existing Athleta coats to get the right size. Still sizing is way off, coat has a sloppy, un-tailored look, sewing structure is off so does not even snap down the coat in a correct line, overly wide open gapping sleeves, waist line for draw string is too low, not flattering, online customer service to back up product seems non-existent Since it's on for no exchange and if there is not Athleta in your area, wait until price is so low that you can afford to waste you money if the size is wrong or if the machine sewing had malfunctioned.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Love the style of this trench, however, it has such an odd fit when snapping it shut. It is almost like the snaps don't match up and there is bunching as well when trying to pull the inside ties to tighten the coat up. I cannot return it so I will make it work. It is long on me. 5'2" bought the XXS and it is still large.

I absolutely love this Trench jacket! It's super lightweight yet doesn't let wind or rain through. I read all the other feedback about sizing and went down a size. It fits perfectly and keeps me dry in the Superior National Forest, or as we call it, The North Woods. It's Memorial Day weekend and we still get frost in the mornings and lots of sprinkles off and on all day at the Lake we are on.
