I am 52, 5'2, 140 lbs and the petite medium look and feel like they were custom made. I have both colors and I am waiting for more!! "Dressy" sweatpants!!

First the good qualities - the fabric feels amazing, and the legs fit/hang nicely. The length was perfect, and the zippered pockets are a great feature. Now for the not so good qualities - I'm not sure who these would be considered mid rise for. The waist band is 4 inches tall, and it's another 7 ...inches from the bottom of the waist band to the crotch. That is an 11 inch rise. I guess high rise is trendy right now, but I don't love the old-man-pants-at-my-ribcage-look. And if I wore them mid-rise (just below natural waist) I would have to fold the waist band over, or pull it down. And I'd have to be okay with the saggy crotch/diaper look. Which I also don't love. I think the waist band also runs pretty big. I usually wear size 4 in athleta pants or size S, and there was a good inch or two of gap between my skin and the top of the band. I would try sizing down to XS, but I think the rise would still be a problem and the legs would be too tight. The takeaway: if you have a very long torso, or really love the ultra high rise look, and you have thinner legs and can size down from usual so the waistband actually fits, these are the joggers for you!

Everyone greets you when you walk in. A great thing about the store is everyone is on their own salary so they all work to help you. No infighting ad to who will help you. I've been shopping at Athlete for years and they all know your name. Exchanges or returns are handled the same same a purchase. No problems. These joggers are a great balance of comfort and style. They have a relaxed comfy fit but still look slightly tailored so you can feel put together without sacrificing comfort. The high waist is stretchy and stays up without rolling, though it doesn't offer compression so if you want a firm hold these might not be the ones for you. The fabric is low maintenance and easy to de-wrinkle. The pockets are great, roomy enough for relaxed hand position and secure enough to hold your phone while walking without bulging or bouncing around. Also have a small zipper pocket for the small items you don't wanna lose. Most Athleta paints run a little big in my opinion. In other brands I'm usually a M but in Athleta I'm usually a small or even XS. The S fit the way I like in these paints. I ordered a Reg and Petite pair. The Reg fits more like a true pant with narrow ankle. Petite fits like a true jogger - I'm 5'2.
