I am 52, 5'2, 140 lbs and the petite medium look and feel like they were custom made. I have both colors and I am waiting for more!! "Dressy" sweatpants!!
First the good qualities - the fabric feels amazing, and the legs fit/hang nicely. The length was perfect, and the zippered pockets are a great feature. Now for the not so good qualities - I'm not sure who these would be considered mid rise for. The waist band is 4 inches tall, and it's another 7 ...inches from the bottom of the waist band to the crotch. That is an 11 inch rise. I guess high rise is trendy right now, but I don't love the old-man-pants-at-my-ribcage-look. And if I wore them mid-rise (just below natural waist) I would have to fold the waist band over, or pull it down. And I'd have to be okay with the saggy crotch/diaper look. Which I also don't love. I think the waist band also runs pretty big. I usually wear size 4 in athleta pants or size S, and there was a good inch or two of gap between my skin and the top of the band. I would try sizing down to XS, but I think the rise would still be a problem and the legs would be too tight. The takeaway: if you have a very long torso, or really love the ultra high rise look, and you have thinner legs and can size down from usual so the waistband actually fits, these are the joggers for you!

I have the Venice Jogger in at least 8 colors - including the 3 in the striped version. These joggers are so comfortable and versatile, I've worn them for everything from a work out to work; for work I've dressed them up with an ankle boot and a blazer. Sizing has been consistent for me; I typically wear a 12/14 in pants and the jogger is perfect in a size Large. I have a 36" waist and 42" hips.

I am a large in the other pants and although I kept the large, they run slight bigger than normal. The mediums fit but I wanted more of a flexible wear for days I fee extra puffy.

The Venice joggers are my favorite pair of pants! Not only are they super comfy, but I can wear them to instruct Pilates and to teach school on Casual Friday! I have them in multiple colors and several styles…wide leg, with the stripe down the leg, with cargo pockets. The waistband never digs in and the tall length is perfect on my 5'9" frame. There is a little zipper pocket on the right hip, along with open pockets. The fabric is great…just thick enough to keep me warm. Keep coming out with new colors, Athleta! I will buy them all!

I am 5'-1", 64, with a belly, straight hips an short torso. When I first opened the bag, and saw the waistband, I thought it would be uncomfortable and tight. They looked made for a more hour glass shape, however, I was pleasantly surprised when I put them on. I wore them on a trip in 75+ degree weather in and out of meetings and walking between. They were cool, comfortable and looked neat. I ordered large petite, because I do not like tight clothes. I could have easily worn a medium and still been comfortable, I wear a 12 in jeans with stretch. I am very short waisted with proportionally longer legs. The petite hits just right, just above my ankle bone. Love the pockets. I wish they had the garnet color in my size, as I would order right away. . They are a bit pricey, but for my minimalist, casual wardrobe, that is acceptable, as I think they will last a while. As a first grade teacher, these will do all they need them to do, with plenty of room for movement and easy care.
