I am a true 34D but I landed on the 36D bra. I am a breast cancer survivor - mastectomy with breast reconstruction - so finding a bra that fits for high impact (without underwire) is imperative. The cups rise up high enough in front to support my reconstruction even on the side comfortably, nothin...g spills out. There are adjustable straps to pull your girls up as much or as little as you need without them feeling uncomfortable. Granted it takes a bit of figuring out HOW to wear the bra, pulling over your head and hooking the clasps behind your back can prove a bit of a challenge, but a challenge that is doable. I have no back spillage, no pinching. I'm honestly super happy with this bra. So my advice: go up one size in the band width, but the same cup size you normally wear and you will be good to go! And I did try this bra on in-store and tried on MANY different sizes to figure out the best fit.
I will start off by saying I have been a runner for many years. I know that all bodies and running bras are different and you have to sometimes play with the sizing to get the right fit. I was a previous owner of the recent discontinued Advance Bra. That was my go to. No issues. I was told the ...speed run is it's replacement, it's not. After wearing it a few times now it really sucks. I would like to say I can just try a variety of sizes but the Athleta near me doesn't carry them in store and according to the person there they probably won't. I'm not fine spending several hundreds of dollars just to try on a bunch of sizes. I also don't think it would matter. Yes, it takes some effort to get into, but so does every other good running bra. The band is good and I like the fabric but I think a big problem is the cross in the back is not fixed and could run up higher on your neck. I feel like I'm getting choked. Even when everything is in place, the girls still bounce a lot. Much more than expected and adjustments to the straps don't help. I know it's possible to make the right bra that keeps the girls separate and stable but this isn't it.

This is my favorite run bra of any company, hands down. It even beats my previous favorite Athleta run bra, the Advance bra. The cups are smooth and supportive, the straps are adjustable and stay in place, the cut looks smooth under a top, and it is no harder to get on or off than any other sports bra. It does not budge once it's on, I have no chafing, and I feel completely supported when running in it. It was my bra of choice for my last few half marathons. PLEASE make more colors! I have all four colors already and would love more!

This is the second Athleta bra that buckles on the sides..I love the higher neck, and the cups, but the buckling on the sides will be a dealbreaker in the future. The adjustable strap metal adjusters dig in as well..was really hoping this would work..I'm keeping it, but will prob not buy another bra..but a lot of other items!!

Hands down the best sports bra ever! I went back and bought another. So comfortable. The straps are lined with fabric that feels good against your skin and I love the wider strap. It also had a molded cup thats gives you a great shape and no smashing.
