As much as I appreciate Athleta's yoga/fitness aesthetic, I love a classic white button down. What a it was a treat to come across this one. I tend to steer away from crops but this one hits perfect and compliments a legging or wide leg pant. And as a busty one, it was nice to find a button down ...that didn't pull across the chest. The material lends itself to travel as well and will be a versatile staple for this year's adventures.

I was drawn to this shirt for the Varsity blue color. I was hoping I could use it like a light jacket/layer. I'm so tired of everything being cropped. It makes my shoulders look even more broad and doesn't do my midsection any favors. Maybe if you're narrow and super thin, but this does not work for... people like me. I wish there were a bigger variety of tops in this Varsity color that weren't cropped

I carry this top with me everywhere to throw on over tank top or dress to protect my arms and shoulders in the summer from the sun. The crop fit makes it light, breezy, and cool, and I can roll up the sleeves if I want a little less cover. It's the perfect top to keep on hand if you're like me and don't love putting on sunscreen every day. The fit is good for a shirt, but it's absolutely ideal for a cover-up.

I love this shirt and I love Athleta but the low rating is for the condition in which it arrived. It was obviously a return that had been carelessly stuffed back into the bag. When I purchase a brand new full price item, I expect it to look brand new, not used. I always wondered how companies handled returns but I always imagined that they took care to examine the item and neatly repackage. This is not the case.
