The undyed color fits me well, especially because zippered pockets mean they don't gap open and create an unflattering silhouette. I tried on three of the brown in the same size but somehow they are all just too small and create stretch whiskers across the crotch. ??? Excited to wear these! For reference, 5'5" 146lb, curvy, purchased a size 6.

The quality of these are terrible. All I did was wash them and wear them once -- already pilling, threads are coming loose, the fabric is snagging! The fabric is also on the thinner side and kinda paper-y. I'm 5' 2" and the petite length is also still too long. Love the actual style and fit, but for the price, the quality is just not there.m

I've been wearing the Retreat Linen High Rise Wide Leg Pant for a number of years. They hold up well, run true to size and can be worn for a variety of events. I loved the mint hue/color depicted on my laptop and iPhone and purchased them. Unfortunately, it looks NOTHING like the images shown on Athleta's webiste. It's a muted blue with white. And the drawstring tie is bright white so the contrast stands out loudly. Not a good look. Looking back, other reviewers have commented the same sentiments. Wished I had paid attention. I'll return at the store and choose something else in person.

The color is so pretty, really wanted to make it work! Crotch too long, length too long.. tried the petite but too short, and tried XS but too small in the waist! Really pretty color, sizing is just off

I'm really a size XL but on petite they only had L. I gave it a try and surprisingly it fit very well and comfortable. I bought the blue with lines and they are amazing!

These are great quality pants. Stylish cut. I bought my normal size medium which I am also a medium according to Athleta's size chart. The pants fit great when I first out them on. After wearing a few hours they stretched out a lot and were much more like a large. I wish I had bought the small, but I don't know about how much linen stretches out.

I live these pants and have them in black and brown. Fit perfect but the white is so so sheer you can see everything. Sadly have to return.

Tried one pair on in one color and were too big, tried another color and were too tight. Need to change to mid rise not high rise.

I wanted to love these pants but the sizing is off. The size S was too loose and the XS was a little too tight. I'm not sure why the sizing has been off lately. The material is nice, but the waist band is a little thick. The pants are see through as well

I'm so bummed about these pants because they are the best silhouette, the most flattering, actually long enough on my tall frame, feel great in the summer...but the thighs started pilling badly on the first wear and completely busted open (I'm talking 4 inch holes) within a few weeks of normal wear and delicate washing/air drying. I'm tempted to repurchase because they're otherwise the perfect pant, and I did get a refund for the ones that ripped, but I have another pair of these that has the same pilling issue, so I think it will just happen again. Athleta, please improve the fabric and I will buy these for the rest of my life! Fit-wise, I am hourglass-shaped so I normally need to buy from curvy lines so pants will fit both my waist and hips, but these actually worked perfectly for me without having to size up for more hip room. The linen relaxes for a more breezy fit, but not in a sloppy way.
