These are my all time favourite pants. I have 2 or 3 pairs in every colour, all the same size. For reference I am 5 ft 4", approx 120lbs and I purchased in a size XXS as I find they tend to stretch out quite a bit after wearing for a while and they do fit big overall-just not in length-see rest of r...eview. They are snug at first but they have a lot of give to them. My issue with these pants is they are all different lengths, despite the fact that I have purchased consistently in the "regular" length. The undyed colour (my fave) are sadly floodpants on me. They are far too short and look frumpy. At 5ft4" I should not have to purchase a size Tall, but if a Tall were available in this colour, I would try them! The black are by far the best length and are long and flowy, as are the pink colour. I have the blue and green colours and both of them are on the shorter side as well. The white pants are an in between length. I wash them all on cool and dry on low. I think some of the colours are petite sizing but are being sold as regular. That is the only explanation. We are talking some of these pants are 3" longer than others, despite them all being the same size. So, definitely something to keep in mind. If you are even remotely on the taller side, I would recommend ordering the Tall option. I hope Athleta continues to carry these pants and offers more colours. They are so light and comfortable. Perfect for people like me who don't feel comfortable wearing shorts but want to stay cool in the hot weather!

These pants in petite sizing have an inseam of 28 inches, which is way too long. I bought the Petite XXS RETREAT LINEN MID RISE WIDE LEG PANT in Calla Lily (white color) and I was swimming in them. I tried wearing these pants with heels but it defeats the purpose of buying relaxing linen pants in ...a petite size. I also don't like the side slits at the bottom of the leg. The pockets are too prominent looking. On the plus side, the pockets have zippers which is rare and helpful. Zippers are a great way to keep your phone safe as they are prone to slip out when sitting down. The white color are somewhat see through like other reviewers mentioned. BR is currently offering similar petite linen pants without the slit and the inseam is 25 inches which is more reasonable. Unfortunately, they aren't offering matching shirts in multiple colors like they do for the regular sizes. So I'm still on the lookout for matching linen pants and shirt.

The waistband does not stretch very far to allow pulling the pants on! When I unwrapped them from the bag, it appeared that they would fit, but I couldn't come close to pulling the waistband over my (slightly curvy) hips. I did size down from S to XS because they're flowy, however I don't think sizing back up to S would even help this situation. Back they go!

These would have been 5-stars if plus sizes were offered in tall lengths. My XLs from last year are now too small, and 1X fits great in the waist and hips, except they're only offered in regular length, which is too short. (I'm 5'9" and pear shaped, 38.5" waist, 52" hips.) They also didn't have any plus size options in the store to try on, and where are the fun color options for us? Very disappointed in the options.

Great pair of pants that can be dressed up enough for a casual work day but also great for a weekend or travel. They do stretch out during the day (like linen tends to do) which changes the fit, but overall they are a good and versitle pair of pants. True to size, but run long.

Can't wear petite as I have a long torso and they are always too short in the rise. But I have shorter legs so can't wear these long reg length pants. These would be very expensive to have shortened with the slit at the bottom.

I LOVE these pants. I literally live in them all summer. But Athleta is bringing in fun new colors without adding plus sizes to them!? Why do plus size women only get black, white and tan? It's really a bummer to see this trend coming to Athleta too. Please reconsider your size ranges to include everyone.
