I'll start by saying... I can usually size down in everything Athleta. Leggings I typically wear an XS or S but consistently wear an XXS or XS in Athleta. Tanks I almost always wear a M (sometimes even a L to accommodate my broad gymnast shoulders) but almost always size down to a S in Athleta (minu...s the Elation Crop, where I wear my true size M). I wear a size 34D bra, but based on reviews, decided to give size M A-C a shot, and so glad I did! The cups are snug but supportive without being overly so, and the straps accommodate my wide lats just fine. I definitely would not have been able to wear a size down in this bra as it would have pulled too much in the straps and probably cut off in the cups. I love the style of this one, simple but elegant with the one criss-crossed strap. I think I will get a lot of use out of this one running, weightlifting, and climbing!
The Train Free Sports Bra was first introduced in 2017 or 18. I have 3 bras from that period. It was before Athleta decided that women's breasts could be divvied up between A -C & D/DD. Nevertheless, those bras are still really comfortable to me. I tried this newest version in white, size small. I... find the straps gravitate toward my neck and press down on my traps in such a way that this bra can become really uncomfortable. I have a tendency to live in my athletic wear, so maybe I'm just pressing my luck. Perhaps I should get out of my athletic wear after my workouts, and change into street wear. I should point out that I don't run; I enjoy hiking so much more, and weight training. The newer version is sturdier and cut higher along the band, and the cups are sized somewhat bigger as well.

This bra is supportive and fairly cute. I normally wear a 34DDD, and purchased this bra in M. I bought it in 3 color--black, white, and burgundy--and all fit true to size.

I had been looking for the perfect bra to replace my go-to from 10 years ago, and this is it. It's great for yoga, biking, and barre, and I'm assuming it will be great for running, too. I thought I grabbed an XS, but am glad I bought the S. I'm a 32B/34A, and the XS would have been too tight.

I have several of these now. I love how they fit (although I'm a C cup and need to wear the D/DD size), the back is so cute, great support. I just HATE the removable cups and wish they were permanent. I take them out because they fall out in the wash anyway and often get out of place when putting it on. I do prefer the extra padding but hate dealing with the silly removable cups. Wish someone at Athleta would figure out that we either throw them away (bad for the environment, what a waste) or try our best to deal with the frustration. #Sweepstakes

When I purchased I had to measure my breast area to find out at first I measured myself incorrectly. I was wearing sports bras and regular bras that was the wrong size, and I was wearing the wrong cup. Finally I was able to get the right size.

This sports bra is the only one I buy for my daughter. She was a college athlete and now plays intramural sports and does cross fit competitions. She loves how comfortable they are during workouts and prefers them over any others she tried. Athleta has the highest quality of clothing even in their bras.

I think the bra looks and feels GREAT; however, the elastic in the ~tri-chord~ strap is way stronger than the other strap which causes one side to stay in place while the other droops a little making the bra appear crooked across my chest. It's not drastic/annoying enough that I'll never wear the bra again, but I definitely wouldn't buy this one again and probably wouldn't recommend to anyone.
