I'm 5'2" 170lbs, and loose fitting clothes aren't very flattering on me. I bought this dress in M instead of my typical XL, based on other reviews. The M is still a little loose, but it's just right for an everyday, casual dress. The L or XL would've swallowed me. And I'm not sure how much the lengt...hs change between sizes, but the M ends right above my knees. I got the cypress color, a gorgeous teal-y green, which would look good on anyone. Highly recommend this color. Also, I'm a fan of the comfy fleece interior and the sleeves. Two areas of improvement: The pockets can get bunched in a weird way sometimes, and they're made of a slightly scratchy mesh. Plus, my pockets end up carrying my keys, phone, and whatever else, but I can kind of feel everything through the mesh. It's just not my favorite material for this. Last, the stiching on the inside of the dress is scratchy. I didnt notice at first, but after a whole day, it starts to bother me. But it doesn't bother me enough to return this dress.

LOVELY fabric. This is such a soft and stretchy dress, so the comfort is over the top, but the sewing is inconsistent. After ordering and receiving this dress in the mail, I noticed the hemline had an area on the right that curls out a little. I steamed and hung the dress hoping it would straighten ...out, but it didn't. The hem and bottom cut is just a little off. So I went to the store to try on the same dress (two different sizes) hoping to exchange it for one with a better hem. Both dresses that I tried on were cut differently than the one I ordered. The arm pits on the M were hug (like a large dress) and the fabric across the shoulders was too tight. So I tried on a small and had the same odd pulling across the shoulders. Seems there are some slight manufacturing inconsistencies. One other small detail, this dress should not be hung. In-store all the dresses had hanger marks at the shoulders causing the fabric to stand up at a point. Best to drape through the middle of a hanger or folded between wearing – so if hanging is a must, just wanted to share.

I bought this over the summer not fully intending to keep it because it was a bit more expensive than I'd prefer to spend and I have a few items that are similar. However, once I put it on it was impossible not to fall in love with the luxuriously soft fabric. I ended up keeping it and am so glad I did. It's perfect for cold winter days in Boston and was worth every penny!
