This skort is really cute and versatile for summer. I am not a racket-sport player, but I wanted something that could go from workout to city brunch with ease. I am 5'4", 135lbs (fit/muscular) and found the M to be a good fit, not too tight around quads, but still snug to my waist (which I have a common problem with pants fitting leg circumference, but too big for waist). I have developed glutes and appreciate the fullness of the skirt covering my body well, with the assurance of the shorts underneath. Only FYI, I do not think the pockets are big enough to fit a tennis ball, and even if you did manage it, I think it would look VERY silly under the skirt.
