Warm, with a tailored look. Runs 1-2 sizes small. I wear a 4-6 petite in the endless pant and ended up with a 10P here. 8P would have worked, but I wanted it looser. Im 137lbs and 5'5" wider hips. Would not be an exercise pant, but more for daily lifestyle wear due to the flared leg... Looks like a ...ski pant, but not heavy enough for that purpose. This style is what Athleta is doing very well over Lulu these days I think. This pant is different in a good way and quite functional. I havent seen another type pant on the market like this and it sets your style apart in a good way. Planning on buying another color and one for a friend!
These Athleta pants have a lot of thoughtful design features. The built-in elasticized gaiter made from a shiny, water-resistant synthetic is excellent — it seals around winter boots and keeps snow and moisture out. The wide, ribbed waistband is secure and comfortable at first, and I appreciate that... it has no buttons or zippers. The overall look is great: a full-length pant with a slightly flared leg and a tailored front seam that makes them look polished. I wore them with hiking boots, city winter boots, and heavy snow boots, and they looked stylish with all of them. However, for me the waistband ended up feeling too heavy and too thick. By the end of the day, it put enough pressure on my stomach that I couldn't wait to take them off. In terms of warmth, they are water-resistant but not as insulating as I expected. I tried them in Virginia on a windy, cold night and didn't feel much warmth. In Vermont, on a sunny 3-degree day, the fabric itself felt cold and not very breathable. During a snowshoe outing, I actually got cold because the material seemed to hold that cold feeling. I really admire the concept — a winter pant that looks good and has technical details — but I hope Athleta continues refining this idea. A version that's truly cozy, more breathable, and more comfortable at the waist would make this an exceptional cold-weather pant.

I really like these pants. They're a flattering fit with just the right flare at the bottom. They do definitely run small, so if you're curvier on the bottom, definitely size up 1-2 sizes. The reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is that, by sizing up, the waist is now too big. Overall these are a nice outdoor pant.

I purchased these pants for hiking in Norway as these pants are water resistent. However...they really look like ski pants and have rather wide bell bottoms that I don't think will make for easy hiking. I decided to keep them for cold weather activities since they are so slimming and I found an alternate pant for rainy hiking.

I have three pairs of these pants. They are perfect for cold weather walking and look tailored versus most casual pants. I would highly recommend.

As other reviewers noted, these do run a tad small, so I recommend sizing up. I normally take a tall size 8 or 10 in Athleta and ended up with the size 12 Tall in black on these. [I'm 5'10" and 155lbs] I love the wide waistband which gives you both support and a snatched waistline. Interior is brushed to have a nice next to skin feel and they are relatively warm for shorter cold weather jaunts. If you are going to be outside in temple below 40 for a longer period, I recommend a base layer. I've worn these running errands and even to meet up with friends for a casual dinner.

Just received, nice quality and will hold up to the cold. Easy to move in. I'm a curvy 5'1 8P/10P normally and the 12 P fits perfect.

I am returning these because the waist is too tight and has very wide elastic. Quality and appearance are very nice - I would like to keep them.
