I've been waiting what feels like forever for Athleta to release leggings designed for higher intensity training: ones that have compression and are breathable for hotter workouts and sweaty climates. What *took* so freakin long???? LOL!! Thankfully, they're here at last and I'm happy with them. Th...ey have a smooth, sleek feel to them with a fabric that resists sweat spots in awkward places, just enough compression to give you energy without making you feel like a stuffed sausage, and of course pockets because who doesn't want one them these days? As for sizing, I ordered my standard medium online (same size I wear in all leggings), then worried a bit after reading reviews for the 7/8 leggings that said to size up. Compression leggings are supposed to fit a little tighter, but I have had to go up a size in another brand bc the compression was a little *too* much. When these arrived, fortunately they fit like a glove, with a high waistband that held everything in without looking ill-fitted. Better yet, they stayed in place during a HIIT style class, and looked great. Definitely worth a try if you feel like you need something a little more supportive and energizing, and temperature regulating/moisture wicking for those tougher workouts and long runs. I can't speak for longevity since I just got them, but I do air dry all my leggings since the dryer heat can break down the fabric faster — hopefully they last as long as my other leggings!
