A couple years ago I got the black version. I'm usually a xxl or 1x. I ended up with a L P in this dress because it runs so big and I don't want the back to be so long. It fit perfectly with the back above my ankles. Now this time, I ordered the olive in a L but not petite because they didn't h...ave it. To my surprise, this newer version is slightly different. Not sure if it's because of the color or what, but the material is slightly thicker and the dress itself is cut slightly different. The the racer back is not as narrow (which is good because more bra possibilities) and the arm opening isn't as deep. (Mind you this should be bigger as it's not a petite). It's also not as long as the version from 2 years ago. It's still longer than the petite of course, but shorter than the regular length from back then. These are not complaints, just observations. Overall this new L is smaller than the LP from 2 years ago with slightly thicker fabric. (In the olive vs black color).
I am 5 ft, 120 pounds (34B-30"-36") and got the XS Petite in coastal teal. Love the coastal teal color! Lengthwise, the dress comes to my ankles in the front, and is just above the floor in the back. Wearable, but I'm getting it hemmed so it'll be more wearable out of the house. Wish it didn't have ...the high/low hem. It is definitely a looser fit, but the top is slimming so it doesn't look like a shapeless sack. My biggest complaint is the pockets. Part of the reason I bought it is for the pockets, and the pockets are set a little too far back, and anything heavy in them (like a phone) drags the pocket down and the pocket opening gapes a lot, so it's clearly visible.

Perfect travel dress. I love this dress - it's great for hot days and dries quickly after washing (I hang dry). I'm typically a S in dresses and the XS is perfect. The pockets are a great bonus.

athleta.gapcanada.caI own two of these dresses (maybe from 2 years ago?) and love them. They are in constant rotation and I was excited to get a third. Unfortunately, this season's version has been modified - the material is heavier and doesn't breathe very well, it fits smaller around the ribs and chest, and the (new) bust darts which weren't in older versions, create unflattering folds at the sides of my breasts (which cannot be ironed out, and don't change with different bras/levels of support 😉). I really wanted to like this dress as much as my navy and black ones, but am sending it back.

Love the idea of this dress and also the picture. Also have an old knit version of this dress from another maker that I have literally worn out. However, in the case of this particular dress didn't love the fabric and the darts at the bustline are a little weird meaning unflattering...so, am returning. You win some & loose some. :-)

I wish this dress were not so huge! The top part fits (sized down) but the rest of the dress has so much extra fabric that I feel like I am wearing a tent. I really, really want to love it - as I can see how versatile and useful it might be - but it just doesn't work

I literally own five of these dresses in different colors. It's that good. I am very distressed to see that only black is available this summer and it looks to be sold out. Please, please, please don't discontinue this dress. It's the perfect travel dress. Can be dressed up or worn casual. Super lightweight, comfortable, can be hand-washed in a hotel and will dry quickly, POCKETS.

I love a good summer dress! This is lightweight with deep pockets! I appreciate a longer dress as I get older and this still looks stylish. I usually wear a light linen shirt over it & skip the bra!! Very comfy!
