I purchased these in store, in the beautiful green color. I assumed tbey were very thin leggings. They fit well in the hips/thighs and are NOT super high rise on me, which I prefer anyway. They are loose from just above the knees and down. I prefer them to be fitted down lower, to the knee, but they... are pants so its just the way they fit. I am fortunate that any pants from athleta fit - they are usually way too big for my long, skinny frame. These are very thin but will be nice for spring. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 103 lbs. I have broad shoulders, small hips and long legs for my short-waisted body. Later, as I shopped online, I saw these and thought they were different from the leggings I purchased. I noticed they are described as pants and almost purchased them again. I purchased regular size XS and they are plenty long.

The top band around the waist and upper hip has changed from the Elation Ultra High Rise tight and also the flair version. It is narrower and ends at an unattractive place on my very slim hips so that it looks like I have a lumps at the bottom of the band. I'm 5' 7" and weigh 123 lbs. so the band ...shouldn't cause this to happen. I have three pairs of the Elation Ultra High Rise tights and they are perfect. In addition, the Elation Ultra High Rise Straight leg pant is very unattractive looking. They fit through the waist, hip and thigh, except for the lumps at the hip, but then bell out at the knee in a straight line down so there is much excess material that is awkward and has no style like the flair ones did. They were returned. When is Athleta going to bring back the Elation Ultra High Rise Flair pant. They are only available now in extremely small sizes. The quality, if the styling is ignored, is good. Athleta is a quality product and I consistently buy from them because there is room for an athletic rear end but this pant lost because of the changes in styling from the original tights and flair pant.

I have a pair of the straight leg pants that I bought years ago and LOVE so I decided to buy another pair. Like many others, I was very disappointed to find that the material changed and not for the better—much lower quality than what it was before. This is very disappointing. Athleta bring back the OG material!!!!

I do think they fit as shown on most of the models; fitted through hip and thigh, then looser from above the knee to the ground. I bought the green color and they are lovely, lightweight pants. I previously reviewed them as being too loose above/below the knee. However, they are pants, as advertised, not leggings. I love the way they fit me. They are not too high rise. I am short-waisted and the rise is perfect. They hug my hips and thighs. The length is perfect as well. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 103 lbs. I have a narrow build and the XS fits well.
