The linen is substantial and soft, AND its lined. I'm pretty much always a petite XS at athleta (for example, in the retreat linen pants) but I got this dress in a regular XXS. Its still mini length in a regular size on me and I'm only 5'0", so I imagine the petite is quite short. I'm more pear shaped... 32A on top and wider hips so with the loose trapeze cut of this dress I was able to comfortably go down to an XXS.

Purchased the medium. Fit well without feeling like too much material. Lined which is nice. A bit short if that bothers you but I feel frumpy when dresses hit around the knee…normally don't like to wear white but this dress changed my mind.

I am 5'2" 36C bra size 120lbs I purchased size small. The fit is perfect on top and flares to a A line bottom. The armholes are a good fit covering the underarm and sides. The dress is fully lined.
