This linen dress is perfect; true to size on the top for definition, a little more relaxed at the hip for comfort and freedom of movement, and pockets! For reference I'm 36C/5'1" and the (S) is a good fit. It hits right above the knee. I've tried A LOT of summer linen dresses from other companies an...d this one is by far the best. The lining avoids the see-through look. Retreat linen (I have multiple wide-leg pants that I have already travelled with) is good quality. It washes beautifully, can hang to dry, doesn't stretch or wrinkle significantly like a lot of linen, and is breezy and cool for hot summer days. While I love "racer-backs", it's great not to have to travel with multiple bras and the design can be styled for day or dressed up for night. Good addition to the Retreat Linen line, Athleta! More colors please!

I had high hopes that this dress would work for me if I ordered the regular length and not petite, despite only being 5'3". However, even the regular length felt too short for me. It went below my fingertips, but not by more than an inch or 2. I was surprised at how short the length was given that I...'m at the bottom of average height, but it was uncomfortably short for me, especially given the wide bottom and the opportunity for it to move in the wind. The length was not listed on the website, so I had no way of determining whether it would be the modest length I was looking for prior to purchase. The fabric was nice, the brown color was lovely and I did like the shape of the dress with the higher neck in front and lower back. Just not for me, but I've learned that many of the shorts, skirts and dresses at Athleta are way too short for my taste.

Love the fit. Purchased XXS in white. I'm 32B, 5-2, 114#. Fit well under arms and the length was mid thigh. Can be dressed up for dinner or more casual w sneakers. Athleta linen is one of my favs for hot summer days!

Love the dress. But the day that I received it it was pouring like crazy unfortunately there was a dime size hole in the bag and dress got wet cause there was no inner bag. Had to bring to cleaners because I wasn't home that day till next day. Other than that dress is beautiful.

So let me say first I love the dress! I have it in all 3 colorways. My only dislike is the L is HUGE on me so I got M which I am normally M or S. However, the arm holes are so tight on me in the M. I kept M but I'll likely take them to have the arm holes opened more. Maybe it's because I am large chested. But overall I love it!
