I can't count the number of various Brooklyn pants I own. I hadn't tried any wide leg Brooklyns and am glad i did. They are the perfect wear-all-day or travel pants. Being lightweight, they are barely noticeable and will take little real estate in your suitcase. The hidden side pocket zipper PLU...S two drop in side pockets and two rear drop in pockets make it the perfect purseless pant. I would say these run a big loose (I'm between 10 and 12 and the 10's fit perfectly) I found the regular length fit me better than the petite and I'm 5'4". Comparing these to the Pinnacle trousers, these are lighter weight, slightly more casual, and less structured. I bought both and kept both for different reasons.
The best part about these pants were their PLEATS which allowed more movement, flow, and a way more forgiving and spacious fit for those of us who sit in offices a lot. The pleats gave you extra space without any added bagginess, instead the pleats gave a sharp tailored look - while remaining as com...fy as sweatpants!! PLEASE BRING THE PLEATS BACK!!! Without the pleats, these pants are indistinguishable and no different from all the other wide leg athleisure pants out there. The pleats were the unique and best part about these pants. I've worn mine to so many formal office settings, business casual days, dinners, and also just casually with a T-shirt or crop top. The PLEATED wide leg trousers were THE BEST. I'm looking for a bigger size than I have now and I am truly disappointed that Athleta got rid of the pleats. Pleeeeeeeeease bring the PLEATS back!!

I have gotten many compliments wearing these pants. I no longer wear shorts in summer and these are a prefect alternative- light weight and cool. Best if fitted to the waist. I took 2 sizes smaller than other style of pants.

I've loved these pants for years and wear them to work and casually. They have a great shape where they taper down and the elastic band is always a plus. I usually need to have seamless underwear when wearing these because I have a fuller butt and the fabric is thin. Unfortunately I wore these to Japan in a hot and humid summer and these pants are not breathable at all and stick to your legs like a plastic bag when you sweat. They literally suffocate you when the sun hits them. Being an athletic brand, I think Athleta should try to work with natural fibers in their clothes because their synthetic t-shirts also stick to me when I workout so I don't wear them for workouts anymore.

Brooklyn line has been out for years. While it remains a top seller, I am so very tired of the stripe down the leg. Love the wide leg pants, but can't bring myself to wear an outdated look. Could you create a similar pant without the stripe and just give it another name? Also, could we leave the high rise behind?
