I did not find the material displeasing like some of the reviews. Yes, the outer short is like a windbreaker fabric. But, it keeps the shorts cool and lightweight which is great for running and biking in the heat. The spandex shorts part run a bit small but I think it helps with keeping them in place. I will be getting other colors as well !

I can see why people have been complaining about the top layer and comparing it to tissue paper, but I actually like these. They work well for gym days where I want a bit more coverage and they don't really ride up much (a problem I have with other shorts). I'd considering buying them in another color.

Love that the liner has hidden pockets for my phone, keys, whatever I need on a run. These are comfortable and the color is so fun for summer!

These are horrific. I took them out of the package and got blue dye all over my hands. They remind me of tissue paper, plastic tissue paper. The colorway is beautiful but these were hands down the worst shorts I ever got. I had to return them. I wish Athleta made this colorway in the interval stash shorts.

Finally! A hybrid short with biker shorts that actually stay in place. I am a runner who has thighs that touch and constantly eats up shorts. These shorts did not budge for my 10k run this morning. The waist was slightly big for a size small (I'm 5'4, size 4) but the drawstring helped with that. While the outer layer did get eaten by my thighs, it is so lightweight and thin that I couldn't feel them so it didn't bother me. It's also sweatproof which I love. Will be buying these in any color they make them in. Love, love, love!
