I recently purchased a full Athleta Girl outfit for my daughter—a hoodie, puffer vest, leggings, and a moisture-wicking shirt—and she absolutely loved it! She wore it to a hockey game and looked adorable, sporty, and totally put-together. The hoodie and vest kept her warm without adding bulk, and the leggings were super comfy with just the right stretch. The moisture-wick shirt was perfect for staying dry and active. The leggings are now more spandex-feeling which means that they lost their soft comfort that caused me to prefer them to many other types of leggings. Especially because now the leggings feel much smaller. tThey also changed the pockets: making them more rectagnular and much shallower. This decrease in comfort, quality, and usability makes me regret ever buying a new pair of the leggings I once loved.

I am a bit disappointed in this purchase. I LOVE Athleta - but the first time my daughter wore these, the seam instantly started tearing - by the end of the day, she had 4-5 holes in the seam. I just realized this also happened to another pair of pants I bought from Athleta recently. This is usually such great quality, but 2 in a row is a bit disappointing.
These are high-quality leggings that my daughter uses throughout the year. These are the only ones that she will wear.
I own over two dozen pairs of these tights and was excited for the new fabric, as the prior fabric eventually started to pill. But the new fabric is about as durable as a pair of opaque tights. After one wear (just out and about town) there are numerous thread pulls on the left knee and a large run/hole on the right side above the knee. I'm an adult wearing these to run errands. Not a kid playing in them. Very frustrating to only get one wear out of such expensive leggings!!
