Latest pair not as soft and stretchy as previous pairs

My granddaughter loved the XS chitchat shorts she received in June 2023. The S pair I ordered in August are noticeably less stretchy. I got these for my 7 year old daughter to wear to tumbling and they are so perfect! She is never pulling them up or down and doesn't say a word about them - which if you have a sensory sensitive kid you know is the best review possible! The 3" inseam is also nice because they aren't too short like some of the other brands out there.
