Answer: when you're 5'11 and the 'tall' is still dragging on the floor when I'm in 3in heels, LOL! 5 stars for overall design Docking a star for execution. Maybe 2. I've worn Venice Joggers for the last year and LOVED them, especially in cooler weather and on planes b/c the fabric is the perfect ...weight, a classic style, and they're super comfy. I wear a Small/Tall in the jogger (5'11, 140lb), so when the wide-leg version came out, I had a look at the inseam measurement on the website...for Tall styles, the wide-leg is 1in longer than the jogger, which I thought was fine, so I ordered the same size for the wide-leg pant. Even given the lower crotch drop relative to the joggers, they were *laughably* long. Just for grins, I put on the heels that I would *never* wear with these, and the pant legs were still dragging on the floor -- I'd have to be over 6'3 for the Tall to look anything like they do on the models. I'd have exchanged them, but I bought them in the solid Abalone color the week before Labor Day, and by LD weekend, they were then on backorder with the black color for until November (I just saw "backorder" changed to "preorder" on the site, so I'm wondering if the initial release of the solid colors was problematic -- sizing maybe? -- and set Athleta back on their inventory until the problem could be fixed?). Anyway, I otherwise loved that the fabric was heavy enough that you wouldn't see through the lighter Abalone color, and they fit my waist just like the joggers did. Really loved the style. So rather than wait 2 months waiting for a new pair, I took them to the tailor to be hemmed for $20. I'm annoyed that I needed to do that though, so I probably will contact customer service to let them know and see if anything can be done. :)
I own the Venice track stripe pants in two colors and absolutely adore them. So when I saw that Athleta released them in red, I purchased them immediately. Much to my dismay, the red ones were much shorter than the other pairs that I own, like by nearly 2 inches (see photos). The other colors I have... are M Tall, and that's what I ordered for the red ones, so I thought maybe it was a fluke, like perhaps a pair of regular length pants got mislabeled as Tall. So I returned them and reordered them in the same size. But once again, they arrived and sadly were much shorter than the other colors I own. The inseam is like 30-1/2" which is not at all what I would consider a tall length. Furthermore, the red ones fit tighter in the waistband than the other colors i have (black and navy). I'm really bummed because the color is amazing, but with them being so short they just look like clown pants on my 5'9" frame. LOL So buyer beware...the red ones are not like the other colors.

I usually wear large tall but sized down in these and they fit perfectly. They are flattering and look casual and could be dressed up. I'm 5ft10 and 170lbs and the tall M fit perfectly.

This style is perfection — effortlessly versatile and incredibly comfortable. It transitions beautifully from casual weekends to polished work outfits. I'm thrilled that Athleta introduced new colors; they're all so good that I couldn't resist getting every single one!

Love the color, love the look. The wide leg is great - maybe a little long if not wearing a chunky sneaker or small heal. But that's not a problem! Stretch waist makes for a perfect fit. And can definitely be worn casually or dressed up!

How nice are these pants…🤩 Flowy, flattering, fits in all the right places for an hourglass figure. The waist sets perfectly with room in the bottom thighs and hips. I wear an extra small in the Venice jogger, but found the extra small in these were too tight on my bottom so I chose a small (which is the size I am in leggings). It's more comfortable for me and looks better for the drape appearance rather than a tight fit. I chose the black with white stripe, so cute and I can dress it up or sport it up. The waist band is comfortable and flattering bc it's wide and flexible. I like to wear the body moves bodysuit with these, classy and sexy. I also like to wear just a tank or any top cropped for a sporty or casual style. The material is cool, a little heavy, and slightly sleek. These are such versatile pants. Super! #sweepstakes

These pants are perfection. I have several pair of the Venice High Rise. The Track Stipe version are so cute!! I can wear them to ball games or to work depending on the shoes and top. I had to get the long as the regular length was sold out. I am 5'8" and did have them taken up one hem length. Worth it to make the alteration and buy this pair that is selling out. #sweepstakes

These pants are lovely, the fabric, color, drape, fit , and style are fantastic. I have three in different colors - the waistband tends to stretch out a bit as the day goes on so I sized down after I bought the first pair (that I still keep for those bloated days we all tend to have). These are equally appropriate for the office, the gym, or hanging out at home.

These pants fit well, except the length. But, they are okay to wear with flats for sure. Otherwise I like the color and quality.

The blue color of these pants are AMAZING! I waited, waited, waited until they went on sale so I could jump on it. I finally sized down to a medium (usually get large in this style) and it looks WAY better. I do wish the pockets were different but they don't seem as noticeable in the blue color. For reference I am 5'9" and 165 lbs athletic pear-shape. I ended up with a medium tall. They are slightly long, but with my chunky sneakers they look perfect (still touch the ground, which I prefer)
