These are my all time favourite pants. I have 2 or 3 pairs in every colour, all the same size. For reference I am 5 ft 4", approx 120lbs and I purchased in a size XXS as I find they tend to stretch out quite a bit after wearing for a while and they do fit big overall-just not in length-see rest of r...eview. They are snug at first but they have a lot of give to them. My issue with these pants is they are all different lengths, despite the fact that I have purchased consistently in the "regular" length. The undyed colour (my fave) are sadly floodpants on me. They are far too short and look frumpy. At 5ft4" I should not have to purchase a size Tall, but if a Tall were available in this colour, I would try them! The black are by far the best length and are long and flowy, as are the pink colour. I have the blue and green colours and both of them are on the shorter side as well. The white pants are an in between length. I wash them all on cool and dry on low. I think some of the colours are petite sizing but are being sold as regular. That is the only explanation. We are talking some of these pants are 3" longer than others, despite them all being the same size. So, definitely something to keep in mind. If you are even remotely on the taller side, I would recommend ordering the Tall option. I hope Athleta continues to carry these pants and offers more colours. They are so light and comfortable. Perfect for people like me who don't feel comfortable wearing shorts but want to stay cool in the hot weather!
These pants in petite sizing have an inseam of 28 inches, which is way too long. I bought the Petite XXS RETREAT LINEN MID RISE WIDE LEG PANT in Calla Lily (white color) and I was swimming in them. I tried wearing these pants with heels but it defeats the purpose of buying relaxing linen pants in ...a petite size. I also don't like the side slits at the bottom of the leg. The pockets are too prominent looking. On the plus side, the pockets have zippers which is rare and helpful. Zippers are a great way to keep your phone safe as they are prone to slip out when sitting down. The white color are somewhat see through like other reviewers mentioned. BR is currently offering similar petite linen pants without the slit and the inseam is 25 inches which is more reasonable. Unfortunately, they aren't offering matching shirts in multiple colors like they do for the regular sizes. So I'm still on the lookout for matching linen pants and shirt.

I have these identical pants from 2023 in a 18 so ordered a XL, they are an inch smaller in the waist. I can't try on the next size since it isn't available in a 1X. Not surprised, many items that used to come in plus are no longer offered.

I love the sturdy but breathable linen. I love the wider waistband, most linen pants I've tried on have that thin/skinny one and I prefer this one. I am 5'6" 140lbs and got the regular Small. They hit perfectly lengthwise. And actually 100% linen!! Now Athleta we just need a matching linen tank top!!

I absolutely loved the fit and was so excited to wear these. After just three wears the fabric on the seems around the back pockets is starting to have holes and the fabric between my legs is wearing down. There will be a hole there after just one or to more wears. So bummed because I love these fit of these pants. But falling apart after three wears? Can't handle it.

I love Athleta and these seem well made as I'd expect. I am not keeping them because they are very unflattering and huge, but I imagine after a few washes they would soften up and shrink a bit. They are a little scratchy initially. I wear a large in Athleta leggings, so I ordered Med and L, but med was just too big, not just the legs, but the waist, esp if I were trying to wear them as high rise. At 5'5 the petite were too long for my taste. I really think these would only look good on very skinny and tall people. I love the bubble gum pink color though! And they would be great for summer as they're very loose and breezy feeling.
