After reading these reviews, I was able to narrow my size options down to Tall XS or Tall S (I'm 140lbs, 5'10" with an average size rear, and am typically a M in leggings or 6 in pants). I ordered both sizes and honestly spent too long in front of the mirror trying to figure out which worked better...
TL;DR Pros: soft, comfortable, loose around legs, comfortable waistband, unique color Cons: quality does not match price point I am about 5'3" and weigh about 120 pounds. I ordered a Small Petite. I was delighted to see that Athleta offers petite sizing for their joggers and loved the Spiced Cabern...

These joggers fit well and are very soft. However, when I washed them (following the instructions) I was shocked with how they turned out! They look as though I've had, worn and washed them for years! They appear faded and pilled! I can not wear them out of the house because they look that bad! I'm very disappointed in my 1st Athleta purchase!

I was surprised at how soft and pajama like these felt. Not quite what I expected. I washed them separately and followed instructions and they came out of the wash covered in pills. Looks like a cheap pair of sweats that I've had for years. I don't get the good reviews? Maybe it's an issue by color? I got black. Got them on sale but still not even worth the almost $50 I paid. I also feel that they run a bit big. Very loose around waist and thighs. Overall not my fave!

I (5 8", 135 lbs) have searched for jogger pants for several years now. I have gone to every major retailer without any luck. None of them fit. Some of them were too loose, too tight, too short, or too flimsy. I had given up finding the perfect fit until I overheard someone talking about Athleta. So I took a chance and I am thrilled. They are absolutely perfect. Please don't ever discontinue these joggers.

These are sweatpants with jogger-like bottoms. They feel too casual to wear out and once you wash, they start pilling. They're comfortable for at-home wear.
