I took a chance and ordered this hat final sale. So happy I did. This hat is great, the fabric is so soft and the design is tailored just right to cover entire head and ears. I read other reviews and I was worried that it may be too small for me, I always order the M/L in hats (recently bought th...e excursion trail hat in M/L). The fit is perfect. Even tho I have thick hair, the hat covers my ears and keeps my head warm. This is a great hat, I recommend it!!
Wish I had read other reviews. This hat is ridiculously small. Like doesn't fit on a toddler's head. I don't understand what model Athleta based their sizing on because I can't even gift this to my child. Seemed like a nice hat with the slit in back for a pony tail but was a complete waste of mo...ney and I can't return b/c bought on final sale

I wanted a small beanie, but this might be a little too small (coverage-wise, the picture is very accurate). The pony tail hole is a nice touch, but I think it fits me better if I don't use it (my hair can just barely get into a pony tail right now). It might be perfect under a bike or climbing helmet.
