The fabric was soft, love the pockets, BUT YOU CANT EVEN PULL THEM ON! Where the drawstring is sewn into the waistband there is no stretch and I couldn't get these past my hips. I have a similar style from vuori and they seemed to figure out how to make the waist stretchy.

I am an Athleta fan through and through. Been purchasing leggings from here since 2015. These leggings though, are just not it. Just like many of the previous reviews claimed, the top band is way too tight and because of this, the midsection of the body is really put on display is a very awkward way. I honestly never thought a pair of black leggings could be so unflattering, especially from Athleta.

This is a first - these leggins are comfy, full of pockets and cute - but something is OFF with the stitching around the drawstring. It's like 2 sizes too small. I just toughed it out - going to the bathroom will be a struggle until something in the waist SNAPS. This wlil be a good thing. I would not size up - just struggle.

Design of pants would have been fine. The waistband was sewn wrong in that there is no stretch. Reading from others' feedback, this is consistent. I say factory made a bad batch.

Athleta made this as Rainer High Rise Cargo and now changed to Salutation Stash High Rise. Think it was a better style with the zippers at the bottom of the pants—on the Rainer. I had to size up due to the extreme tightness in the waist
