I have the Retreat Linen Mid Rise Wide Leg pant and I thought the fit on these would be similar. These shorts - same size as the wide leg pant - are a lot more snug than the pant. So, if you want it a bit more roomy, order a size up if you're comparing from the wide leg pant.

These shorts are super cute and super comfortable. I ended up with all four pieces from the set. I like the undyed color. They wash well with no shrinkage and don't have to be ironed—I hang them to dry and they come out nicely. I purchased medium which fits nicely. I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs. I may have gotten away with Small but I like the fit of the Medium
