These arrived today and I'm delighted! Last year, I tried the Retreat wide leg and the Retreat jogger and returned them both. The colors were gorgeous and I was so bummed because the fit was horrible. I'm 5'2" and 131#, with most of my weight in my middle. The last thing I needed was so much excess ...fabric in the hips and on the back of my legs all the way down. BUT THESE ARE PERFECT!! I ordered Regular XS, which is one of my typical Athleta sizes for bottoms (because we all know there's no size consistency across Athleta items). I'll probably cut off the waist ties since most non-skinny women don't want more bulk at their waist. I got the Pyrite color and agree with other reviewers who say it has a bit of a grey tone. The Essential tee in Pyrite doesn't quite match but it works. I do like this color and love the striation in the fabric. It's also lighter weight than the Retreat pants last year. In fact, this reminds me of the old Cabo linen pants, but that style didn't come in this particular cut. This ankle pant is very comfortable in fit and fabric. For petite customers, I did not order petite, and the regular length hits me about an inch lower than the models' photos. This style really should be in the stores...
Since I'm 5'0", I usually have a ton of issues finding pants that aren't too long for me. I originally tried the wide leg version of these pants, but wanted something with a narrower fit in the leg. However, the colour selection isn't the greatest - white is too sheer, I have a lot of black, and the... other colours have a striped effect I'm not a fan of. When storm cloud was released I ordered them immediately, but I found it greyer in person than the pictures online - I was hoping for more of a light blue. I would really like to see these in the "undyed" colour instead. Aside from that, the other minor complaint I have is that the seam down the front of each leg felt a little bit scratchy. I would also definitely size down - I roughly measure as 27/37 and XS (petite) was the right size for me.

Got this pants on sale and can't return They are so see through the Calla Lily. You can see the white fabric from the front and back pockets. I'm usually a MTall I should have sized up and maybe that would make the pockets not Stand out so much. I'm sad I can't return or exchange maybe a large with the fabric being more loose may be less see through. My fault for getting white pants.

I'm 5'3.5" and 120lbs. I bought these in an XS regular. They are definitely more on the longer side, hitting right below the ankle. Knowing that I would have went with the short version. The fit overall was fine. I am SUPER disappointed with how they wash, though. I washed them once and layed them flat to dry. They came out very lumpy and misshapen, despite being washed on delicate cold and not put into the dryer. I would not recommend these at all.

Easy pull up pants, not as comfy as a pair of non linen material pants. After washing them the first time, I had to steam iron them a bit (my personal preference) because of the wrinkles. If you don't mind the wrinkles, then they are fine and can pair with any tops.

These are comfortable pants but the length shrinks a lot after washing even when following the directions. I ended up getting a tall because I didn't like the ankle length. That worked much better.

I was so happy to find 100% linen pants. Sadly, I hate to return them. They were so big and baggy. I hope next year they size the pants better. I am petite and the xxsmall was too large.
