After reading these reviews, I was able to narrow my size options down to Tall XS or Tall S (I'm 140lbs, 5'10" with an average size rear, and am typically a M in leggings or 6 in pants). I ordered both sizes and honestly spent too long in front of the mirror trying to figure out which worked better...

I just receive a $600 order in a bursting plastic bag with seams completely busted and wrapped with packaging tape into a ball twice the size of a basketball. The clothes is sticking out in ripped gaps through the ball of plastic and tape. How anyone at Athleta let $600 worth of clothes go out in a plastic bag like this is insane.

I bought these in Charcoal Gray and loved them--soft, warm, and great pants for winter exercise class. After I had lost weight some months later, I ordered the exact same pair in a smaller size. The smaller pair pills horribly, inside and out! They're almost embarrassing to wear because the pilling looks so dingy and old. Maybe it's a different fabric? I had ordered two other pairs in different colors but returned them because the fabric WAS different, not as soft and comfy as the Charcoal Gray. I'm very disappointed that the smaller Charcoal Gray fabric pills so much. Great design, but for the price I expect better fabric.
