I have purchased many pants from Athleta but never any leggings. Didn't think they were different enough to justify the price for exercise pants. I just bought a pair from my local sporting goods store. They fit but as I exercised I kept having to pull them up. I saw the Delancey in black on super s...ale so I grabbed a pair. The quality and compression of the Athleta pants is not even comparable. The Athleta leggings have better fabric. All seams double sewn. Zippered pockets on the back. Zippers on the ankles. Good compression and better yet I don't have to keep hiking them up. As soon as I put them on I knew. Yet another style that works for me. I immediately checked the Athleta app and scored a second pair on super sale. Lucky me!
Unfortunately, the Delancey Skyline Tights are NOT consistent in sizing among the different colours/patterns. The Herringbone Grey Texture in XS fits me very well. The fabric is very light and stretchy, easy to pull on, and feels like a nice hug. The waist is a tad loose which I like. Based on this ...fit, I was so excited to purchase the solid navy tights online. However the navy tights in XS fit completely differently. They are extremely tight all over, especially in the waist, stomach, knees, and calves. The fabric has very little stretch and feels almost like a scuba suit. I couldn't wear the tights for more than a few minutes as they felt very constricting and difficult to bend in. What is even more disappointing is that I tried the herringbone tights in store and asked the sales clerk if the solid colours would fit the same way since they did not carry the navy tights in store and I could purchase them online. The sales clerk said the tights in a different colour but same size would fit the same way. I also used the Size Guide, which based on my measurements would be an XS. And I have an old pair of Sculptek leggings in an XS which fits wonderfully. Based on all this, I was certain the navy pair would fit. I wish Athleta would provide better sizing information about their products (i.e., model measurements, product measurements) and take into account different fabrics in their sizing (i.e., in the description it says Sculptek Light Fabric which is not the case with all colours/patterns). Knowing the pair was a final sale, I thought I had enough information to make a good purchase. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with a pair of uncomfortable tights. For reference, I am 5'1, 95 lbs, 34A, 26 waist, 35 hips.

I love these pants. There's 2 I think fake back pockets that make the butt look great. They're not as soft as some of the other fabrics. It's more of a slack type of material. These fit my body right and go around my curves nicely. I like the zippers at the ankle making getting skinny pants on and off easier.

Love the Delancey style and fit, with the heavier weight materials. These are my favorite travel pants, comfortable and stylish. I have a pair of tall pants in a darker back/gray herringbone material, which are my favorite. However, I sat on some gum and really want a replacement pair. Wish you would bring these options back!

Pros: good compression. Well made. Cons: These leggings are a thick material which is not (imo) designed for any level of sweating. Also there 2 functional zippered back pockets - I have no idea what those would ever be used for!?! To me, they just add weird fabric bulk to my backside. Not my favorite Athleta leggings. Would not recommend.
