I previously ordered a similar jacket from Athleta in medium but it was quite large, so I returned it for a Small, which was still too large, so I returned it for an extra-small, but it just didn't fit right. Therefore, I was delighted to see the Salutation Crop Jacket, especially because I am short...-waisted and a shorter jacket looks better on me. I ordered it in a small petite, based on my prior order, but the Salutation Crop Jacket is much much too narrow in the bodice, though the arms fit fine. I am returning it and would like to order a larger size, but I don't know if I should go with a medium or a large...
I have several non-cropped Salutation jackets, in XXS and XS. I ordered Raphanus pink in XS in this cropped version, but it is too tight in the shoulders and arms so will return. I would exchange for a S but I don't care for the color with my skin. It's more of a pepto pink than I care for - it seem...s to be somewhat softer-colored in the pics online. I also prefer the non-pieced neckline of the earlier Salutation jackets. Not sure why they went away from that. I like the crop length on this jacket and would buy one in a different color, sizing up, but I'm not keen on the colors currently available.

I Like the feel, colors and look of this jacket. I have the ribbed one and the cropped. The ribbed one is a medium (my usual size, though I am a 34FF) so it fits tighter. For the cropped, I decided to size up. It is still a bit compressive around my chest, but after washing once both jackets loosened up a bit. I may size up from a medium to L an xl (though the xl is loose in the arms) as the jacket gets larger around the shoulders, rather than graded around the bust. Overall, these are amazing quality jackets in an array of colors and variations. I will buy more again - I've learned to gently stretch them out while wet for a less compressive fit. For reference, I can wear a medium or small in other Athleta jackets.

It first perfectly perfect size ordered small and usually wear small. My concern was is it long enough at waist and it covers just below my waist. Its a perfect jacket-best i ever bought. So comfortable and soft.

Tried this on in a new store about a month ago and loved it but ended up taking the black one home but I couldn't stop thinking about this gorgeous color! Took off one star due to sizing! It's tiny!!! But ordering up to a medium tall is perfect with this jacket only!! Medium usually huge on me but perfect in this jacket ! I'm 6'1 142lbs size 27Tall in pants - 34b & small in shirts. Tried regular but sleeves not long enough to use thumb holes comfortably. Tall is still cropped but on me perfect crop! Love the beautiful shadow blue! I have long arms, short waist, long legs for reference. Soft and buttery feel, zip pockets and cute collar :)

This is a beautiful jacket. I bought it to pair with the matching leggings and rib tee. It is cropped and is shorter than the salutation jacket that I usually buy. I prefer the longer salutation, but my husband likes me in this shorter version better. I did buy a size up as my arms are thicker. #sweepstakes
