As a long time Athleta customer - I purchased many (2 dozen?) Polartec Pants over the years and gave them to all my friends, my daughters - as well as for myself. I wore them with great joy from November through March as my warm wardrobe staple. Just ordered these "Altitude Fleece Pants" and they are just as good - if not better. These have the added detail of a double seam down side of the pants. I got them in "shadow gray" which is actually a sort of dirty olive/gray - combines very well with Green and Brown tones of this season.

The fit is more flattering than it has been the past couple of years. They held up great in the wash. My only complaint is the fabric had a very chemical odor when the pants arrived, but the smell washed out. I buy these every year because the fleece keeps me WARM.

got some a few years ago and loved them but this fabric isn't the same it's stiffer and not as cozy. Also no more plus size 1X got the XL about the same. The design is a little nicer some extra seams etc sure miss the softer fleece

I have at least 5 of these pants from prior years as I live in them all winter. Ordered 2 of the new color in same size S and they are nothing like my others. At least an inch shorter and quite a bit tighter in waist and hips. Fabric is thinner and now shows underwear. I know, hard to believe in fleece lined pants but they do. So disappointed!

My very favorite winter leisure pants are the polartec fleece pants from several years ago. I have three pairs, 2 leggings and one bootcut, and they are still looking good. I came here to buy more, as I worry about what I will do when these wear out! Reading the reviews makes me sad, however. I think I will continue babying my polartecs in the hope that Athleta will bring them back. Thin, pilly, stretched out replacement pants will never do!!! Please, please bring back polartec!!! My ratings are for the polartec, since I have no experience with the current version.

The color is odd-gray green. The matching long sleeves top is a completely different color. The pants are ugly. I returned both pant and top. Sadly, this style is my favorite in limited colors.
