Fit is good; fabric is soft, seems to be wearing well. What I don't like about these...the legs do NOT stay down. They quickly inch up over and over and over, so I am constantly pulling them back down. I don't have time for this during a workout! It's very annoying, especially given the price tag.

This was my first time wearing Athleta and I was thoroughly surprised. I bought these for a rooftop yoga class I was teaching in the intense summer heat and I even wore them running, and they proved versatile. I was curious about how sweat would show on the fabric, and it ended up just blending into the fabric without leaving obvious and embarrassing spots. IYKYK. I love the lightweight material, they fit to size and weren't see-through. Yellow shorts made right!

I am a big fan of the Transcend 5" short, but pivoted to the Salutation Stash 5" because it was offered in Coastal Teal. It is definitely more of a compressive short than the Transcend. The top folds over every time I pick up my weights. It does look good with the Transcend Asymmetrical Crop Top and I like the pockets.

the black salutation stash shorts are my go-to, my default, my old reliable. i've gone through many pairs over the years and i just love how the fabric really does feel buttery soft. i have a smaller waist and a bit of a booty and since i like a bit of compression here, i prefer to wear a small in these. otherwise i get a bit of gapping in the waist. #sweepstakes

keep in mind the fabric feels different in lighter colors!

it annoys me that the lighter-colored salutation shorts and leggings are always a different fabric than the darker-colored leggings. i'm assuming that athleta wants to avoid making them see-through when you bend over, but i really wish they'd find a way to make them work in the normal powervita fabric because instead of feeling buttery soft these feel a bit more...slick and slippery? i'll still keep this one in bright white because i really want a white pair of shorts for the summer, but just keep in mind that they have a different tactile feel to them. i'm usually between a small and a medium in athleta leggings and i always go for a small in the salutation style. #sweepstakes
